(Brooklyn, NY) —  Bring your Mom to Target!  No, it’s not a Mother’s Day promotion.  A popular Brooklyn Target store that attracts teenagers after they get out of school is now requiring an adult to accompany them inside.

There’s even a notice posted on the door with the new policy.  The retail store is in a Flatbush shopping center near a McDonald’s that recently implemented a similar policy. Only in that case, you’ve got to be 20 years old to enter the restaurant and must also be with a parent.

The Flatbush Nostrand Junction Business Improvement District says these policies are meant to manage the after-school crowds, as hundreds of students from three nearby high schools flood the area all at once.
