(Queens, NY) — The Port Authority is celebrating after LaGuardia Airport was named the best in its class for the second year in a row. The award comes from Airports Council International, which rates airports based on customer satisfaction in their respective classes.
This year, LaGuardia achieved a 4.3 out of five. That’s a big step up from 2018, when the survey had LaGuardia rated as the worst airport in North America. Port Authority Chairman Kevin O’Toole credits the ongoing 8-billion-dollar transformation project at the airport, saying they correctly predicted the upgrade would take LGA from worst to best. ACI says LaGuardia improved in almost every category from last year to this year among passengers.
