(Rome, Italy) — Pope Francis continues to rest in a Roman hospital where he’s been for two weeks now. The Vatican said today the 88-year-old Pontiff had another peaceful night. The Pope was originally admitted with bronchitis and was later diagnosed with double pneumonia and mild kidney failure. On Thursday, The Vatican said Francis continued to show improvement but that his prognosis remained complex.
New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan says he continues to pray for the health of the pontiff . He says he is getting the same updates about his condition that Catholics around the world are receiving.
The Vatican did announce that Saturday’s scheduled Jubilee audience has been canceled.
