(Washington, DC) – With just a few more days in office, U.S. President Joe Biden is addressing the nation and looking back at his term as the country looks ahead to the administration of incoming President Donald Trump.
Biden’s primetime address comes hours after a reported cease-fire deal between Hamas and Israel– a potential end to a war that has plagued his administration.
The departing President says it has been the privilege of his life to serve this nation for over 50 years. In a farewell letter released by the White House Wednesday, Biden said he’s given his heart and soul to our nation. Regarding foreign policy, Biden wrote he’s leaving President-elect Trump a very strong hand to play — and that the administration is leaving an America with more friends and stronger alliances — whose adversaries are weaker and under pressure. Biden also said the country is better off economically since he took office, noting his efforts to lower drug prices and the passing of the bipartisan infrastructure law.
