(Malibu, CA) — Dick Van Dyke, Mark Hamill and Cher are among the celebrities feeling the heat from a huge wildfire in Malibu, California. A home across the street from Van Dyke burned down on Tuesday . Mark Hamill says he is staying put to save his house from the huge blaze. Cher, who has a large home in Malibu says she has evacuated the area and is in a hotel.
Firefighters say at least seven structures have been destroyed so far and another eight have been damaged by the Franklin Fire, which broke out late Monday night in the Santa Monica Mountains. It is still raging out of control. About 20-thousand people have been ordered to evacuate. Over 15-hundred firefighters are battling the blaze.
