(Trenton, NJ) — New Jersey Congressman Josh Gottheimer wants the feds to reveal what they know about the mysterious drones that have been spotted at night in the skies across the garden state. Gottheimer says he’s received information about the unmanned aircraft, and is no longer worried about them. He now wants government leaders to brief everyone in New Jersey about the drones and whether they are a threat.
On Tuesday, a New Jersey state senator called for a limited state of emergency banning all drone use until more is known about them. Westfield Senator Jon Bramnick is demanding a ban over what Florham Park’s mayor is referring to as “nefarious” activity by large drones seen airborne in groups, often near sensitive locations. Phil Doyle took video the other night from his backyard in Oakland of drones flying over Picatinny Arsenal, a Morris County military base. Governor Phil Murphy has been in close touch with Homeland Security. Meantime, the FBI is asking folks to send them tips and videos.
