(New York, NY) – Arrangements are being finalized for the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. NBC has tabbed one of their own — singer and talk show host Kelly Clarkson — to host the ceremony. It will be conducted December 4, featuring a number of musical acts and other performances.
Of course the main attraction will be the world-famous tree, which will be resplendent in LED lights and topped by a Swarovski crystal star. Clarkson, host of NBC’s daytime talk show “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” made the hosting announcement — but did not disclose if she planned to sing herself.
Last year Clarkson hosted the ceremony for the first time and did elect to sing. It’s also not clear what the planned musical lineup will be.
