Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.
(New York, NY) — Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are dead even in a final poll done by the New York Times and Sienna College. The two are tied at 48% each. Back in early October, Harris had a three point lead over Trump in Sienna’s survey of likely voters. That could point to a late election surge for Trump, just as Americans head to early voting sites across the country.
There was good news in the survey for Trump in that 15 percent of respondents said immigration was their top issue, that’s up three points from the last poll. Just 28 percent say the country is heading in the right direction.
There was some good news for Harris in the poll too. Trump was up only six points over Harris with voters who say the economy is the biggest issue this election season. In the last poll Trump had a 13 point edge.
