(New York, NY) – The Vessel at Hudson Yards is opening back up to the public on Monday. The large structure on the west side of Mahattan has been closed since July 2021 following a string of suicides. Four people took their lives at the tourist attraction during an 18 month period.
A spokesperson for Hudson Yards says they have been working on safety features to once again welcome visitors. Stairs and platforms will now get steel mesh barriers and the top floor of the vessel will remain closed. Tickets can be purchased online for 10 dollars and for city residents – admission is free every Thursday.
