(Buenos Aires, Argentina) – Former member of One Direction, Liam Payne, passed away after a fall from his hotel balcony. The situation is being investigated by authorities, state police say that Payne had a fatal fall from his third-floor hotel balcony. Officials are not sure whether the fall was accidental or intentional. TMZ reports that eyewitnesses claim Payne was acting “erratic” before plunging to his death.
The British-born singer rose to fame after appearing on the reality TV singing competition “The X Factor”. Payne entered the competition as a solo artist, but was then placed in a group with Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik. The five became known as One Direction, and went on to break records as the highest-selling boy band of all time. Payne is survived by his 7 year old son, Bear.
