(New York, NY) — Police are searching for man who somehow made his way into a woman’s Upper Eastside apartment over the weekend and raped her. The sex assault took place around 4 a.m. Saturday morning in an apartment building near East 92nd Street and First Avenue. The woman was sleeping in the second floor apartment when the wanted man snuck into her bed and then sexually assaulted her.
Neighbors say the Upper East Side is normally safe and relatively quiet.
Cops are unsure how the rapist got into the apartment and whether the woman was targeted. They are passing a picture around of the wanted sicko, hoping someone recognizes him.
