(New York, NY) — Mayor Adams insists he is not going anywhere as federal investigations sniff around City Hall, in a probe that seems to grow by the week. Federal prosecutors have subpoenas for records related to six countries they may have connections to the Adams campaign for mayor. They are reportedly seeking records connected to Adams overseas travel and campaign fundraising.
Mayor Adams took a load of questions about the probe from reporters on Tuesday. He told them he wished he could say more. He did say he is confident that he will take the oath of office for a second term next year.
Adams was also asked about the four members of his administration, including Police Commissioner Edward Caban who have submitted their resignations over the last two weeks. The mayor says its not uncommon for employees to come and go, especially three years into an administration.
