(Washington, D.C) — There will likely be a vote in the Senate Tuesday on an in vitro fertilization bill that Republicans have blocked before. New York Senator Chuck Schumer says he’s putting the bill up for a vote tomorrow hoping it will pass this time around. Republicans say the move by Schumer is purely political and timed for a vote just before the November election. The legislation would give Americans the right to access IVF treatments and force insurance companies to cover the IVF procedures. The bill would also allow service members to freeze sperm or eggs prior to deployment to a combat zone.
