(Las Vegas, NV) – Joey Chestnut has another championship under his belt. He downed an otherworldly 83 franks and buns to vanquish his longtime rival, Takeru Kobayashi. Chestnut also beat his own world record of 76, which he set in 2021, setting a new unofficial world record.
Meanwhile, Takeru Kobayashi consumed 66 hot dogs. The live event, billed as “Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef,” took place at the Hyper X Arena at the Luxor in Las Vegas. It also streamed “live’ on Netflix.
Joseph Christian “Joey” Chestnut is an American competitive eater. As of 2024, he is ranked first in the world by Major League Eating.
