(New York, NY) – A New York City traffic reporter survived a terrifying attack in Lower Manhattan last week. 1010 WINS reporter Kelly Dillon says she was walking out of her Hudson Street studio around midnight, when a man ran up behind her, grabbed her hair and then body slammed her onto the pavement.

Dillon was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital for head and elbow injuries. She says she is telling her story because she believes the NYPD and the media are downplaying the number of random attacks on women in the city. The 40-year-old says this attack is part of a vendetta a group of men have against women, saying there’s more happening than what meets the eye. Dillon took to TikTok to explain her experience with many women in the comments section explaining similar situations with one commenter saying. “This has been going on all year…”

Dillion is recovering from a concussion and injuries to her elbow. She says she is happy to be alive.
