(Chicago, IL) — A woman died at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport Thursday after she somehow got caught in a baggage carousel. Emergency responders raced to help the 57-year-old who they found stuck in the carousel machinery. Police say surveillance cameras at the airport showed the woman entering the baggage area around 2:30 a.m.
It was hours later that firefighters were called to the terminal. They tried to save the flier, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say they are investigating what took place in the moments before the woman became trapped in the machinery.
