(New York, NY) – It is quite some time until November 2026, however New York Governor Kathy Hochul is already announcing her plans to run for reelection. Hochul was in Washington DC for a special meeting between President Biden and democratic governors trying to rally support behind his campaign.
While speaking with reporters, Hochul said that she has plenty of time until then but she is gearing up to run in the race.
Hochul also mentioned that she does plan on sticking with her running mate from 2022, Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado, for the next election. Hochul won her first election in 2022 after a tight race against Long Island Republican Lee Zeldin. Hochul has also been making headlines in the past month over her last-minute decision to cancel New York City’s congestion pricing plan.
