(New York, New York) – A 58-year-old woman was attacked by two masked men on the Lower East Side Tuesday afternoon. Authorities say the woman was attacked as she walked along Monroe Street near Franklin Avenue. The Staten Island woman was taken to a hospital where she was treated for her injuries, bruises to her leg and swelling to her head. Police are still investigating and the motive is still unknown, nothing was stolen from the woman.
