(New York, New York) – New Jersey commuters keep getting the short end of the stick when it comes to NJ transit. Service in and out of Penn station on Friday was suspended once again due to overhead wire issues on the tracks that Amtrak maintains. Everyday this week riders dealt with issues of the crumbling infrastructure. Many say they’ve been late to work or getting to celebrations at home because of the suspensions. They also say they’ve had enough of the excuses.

NJ Transit continues to blame Amtrak for the overhead wire and power issues, but riders don’t care whos at fault when they’re constantly late. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy says the commuting problems are ‘completely unacceptable’ and that he’s going to get to the bottom of it.

Starting July 1st, commuters can look forward to a 15% fare increase.
