(New York, New York) – The Panthers shut out the Rangers 3-0 last night at the Garden. This puts them ahead 1-0 in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference Final series. In the game Panther Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky had 23 saves while Tkachuk, Verhaeghe and Bennett racked up the goals. The Rangers just couldn’t catch their step. Game two takes place tomorrow night (Friday) in New York, starting at 8:00 when the Rangers fight to tie up the series.

If losing wasn’t bad enough for Rangers fans, they couldn’t even catch a ride home. After heading down to Penn Station after the tough loss, they were given a rude awakening, no trains were running. At 11pm, NJTransit.com reported that service was suspended in both directions. The website also did not give any information on when or if services would resume. Some PATH trains in and out of Hoboken were running, and the ferry was also operational. In Hoboken, six New Jersey transit lines were operational.
