(Germany) – A potential salmonella risk has led to the recall of cream cheese products. Aldi, a Germany-based grocery chain, issued the recall announcement Monday.
Specifically, eight ounce portions of Aldi’s Happy Farms Whipped Cream Cheese Spread, Chive & Onion Cream Cheese Spread, Strawberry Cream Cheese Spread, and plain Cream Cheese Spread have been recalled. The affected products were reportedly sold in 28 states and Washington, DC. The product’s sell-by dates are between August 30 and September 15 of this year. Aldi officials say the recall is being done out of an abundance of caution. The products are made in cooperation with Schreiber Foods, Inc. If you have the products — toss them out — or return them to Aldi for a full refund.
