(New York, NY) — Neighbors and tourists ducked for cover in Soho Tuesday afternoon, after a 16-year-old opened fire on a fellow teenager, killing him. The bullets flew around 2 p.m. in a public plaza near Varick and Spring Streets. The area is a popular outdoor spot for tourists and neighbors. Eyewitnesses say the gunfire took place after a group of teenagers got into an argument. The victim was shot in the head and leg. He died a short time later at Bellevue Hospital. The teen gunman raced away from the scene on a Citibike
Neighbors in SoHo say they could not remember the last there was a shooting in the area. Police say they should be able to find the teen gunman by tracking where his Citibike was dropped off.
