The Effort To Keep Knicks Fans Out of Philadelphia

mixcollage-02-may-2024-09-14-am-4621

Former Philadelphia 76ers owner and current Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin has bought up thousands of tickets for game 6 in an effort to keep Knicks fans away.

(Philadelphia, PA) – One of the storylines after the New York Knicks won game four was the crowd. While securing the victory against the Philadelphia 76ers — on the road — Knicks fans were prominent and loud. And afterwards, Sixers star Joel Embiid expressed disappointment that the hometown fans were not the ones making themselves heard at Wells Fargo Center.

Now — ahead of game 6 in Philly — there’s an effort afoot to keep Knicks fans away. Prior to the game, former 76ers owner and current Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin bought up over 2,000 tickets that will be given away to Sixers fans. He and the franchises’ current ownership group made it happen. Whoever ends up going to the game, they may want to enjoy a cup of espresso from South Philly’s Italian Market beforehand — tipoff isn’t until 9:00 PM.
