Grisly Discovery Made Along Bronx Subway Tracks

syndication-westchester-county-journal-news-98

A grisly discovery was made along the 4-train tracks in the Bronx.

(Bronx, NY) – New York City cops are investigating after a human leg was found on subway tracks in the Bronx. It was on Saturday afternoon on the northbound 4-train tracks — between 167th and 170th Streets. After the leg was recovered it was turned over to the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office.

Service disruptions resulted after the discovery was made. The Medical Examiner will be instrumental in hopefully figuring out who the leg belongs to.

This unsettling discovery comes less than a week after the deadly subway shooting in Mount Eden, which also happened at a 4-train stop. In that incident, a 35-year-old innocent bystander was killed after being struck in the chest, while five others were injured. A group of teenagers engaged in the shootout because they’re members of warring gangs, according to police. Two teen suspects have already been arrested in that incident, while a third remains at large.
