(Hicksville, NY) — Tom Suozzi came up big for the Democrats on Long Island last night, easily beating Mazi Pilip to take the Congressional seat Republican George Santos was kicked out of. Suozzi wins back the seat he left in 2022, when he made an unsuccessful run for governor. The 61-year-old, who hopes to be sworn in as soon as Thursday, will have to run again in November.
Suozzi’s victory helps narrow the Republican’s slim advantage in the House.
