NEW YORK, NY- In an unprecedented move, New York City’s American Museum of Natural History is closing two major halls featuring Native American cultural items and other displays. The pressure is coming down on the museum from the Biden administration, which has instituted new policies requiring museums to receive permission from Native American tribes before exhibiting cultural artifacts. There’s no word when or if the exhibition will reopen.Â
