(Tel Aviv, Israel) — Israel suffered it’s deadliest day so far of it’s war with Hamas in Gaza. 21 soldiers were killed on Monday when a building collapsed on them. The explosion was reportedly caused by mines that Israeli forces had placed in two buildings, with the intent of demolishing  the structure when the soldiers were gone. The Army says it’s still investigating the deadly incident. Three other soldiers were killed in fighting with Hamas terrorists.

Israel has reportedly made a new proposal to Hamas to free the 136 hostages still being held in Gaza. Israel’s war cabinet says it will call for a two month stop in the fighting in return for the hostages being released. The deal would also include the release of Palestinians being held in Israeli prisons. The proposal was apparently pitched by the Israelis in the last week.
