UNDATED – The arctic blast that sent most of the nation’s section into the deep freeze has pushed eastward sending temperatures into the teens with wind chills in the single digits to zero and below.

Health experts say people should be concerned about frostbite and hypothermia in these very dangerous conditions. They say it’s important you dress in layers, and to keep hydrated.  Wind chills will be in the single digits on Saturday, and near zero or below well  north and west of New York City making roads and sidewalks extremely slippery.

Forecasters say temperatures should slowly begin to moderate next week —with temperatures expected to hit 50-degrees later in the week.
