NYPD patrol vehicle responds
(New York, NY) — Mourners will say goodbye today to the NYPD’s former Chief of Department, Joe Esposito. Mayor Eric Adams will deliver remarks at the funeral service at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Esposito had a long and heralded career, with four decades in law enforcement, and serving as Chief of Department following the 9-11 terror attacks. The Brooklyn native was most recently deputy commissioner at the Buildings Department. Mayor Adams called Esposito “the definition of public service.” Esposito was 73, when he passed away last week after a battle with cancer.
