Brooklyn, New York- Parents in a Brooklyn  Community are angry because their children were kept out of a local school Wednesday because migrants stayed overnight to seek shelter from a winter rainstorm. Migrants stayed at James Madison High School and then returned to Floyd Bennett Field around 4:30 Wednesday morning.

Students at James Madison were forced to stay at home and do their school  work online. Parents say they’re not sure if and how the school is being sanitized.

They’re also concerned the city will use the school as a migrant shelter if there’s another winter storm.

Meanwhile, Staten Island Assemblyman  Michael Reilly previously introduced a bill that would ban the city from using schools and day care centers to shelter migrants.
