(New York, NY) — Lots of New Yorkers really want to be socked by this weekend’s snowstorm, but forecasters say this system moving in on Saturday night will not be the big one they are hoping for.
National Weather Service meteorologists say the system moving in from the West will likely be a rain snow mix in the city with little accumulation. North and West of the city accumulating snow may fall Saturday night into Sunday. The prediction for the Upper Hudson Valley right now is six inches. Forecasters say they track of the storm still could change a bit before the weekend. The last time Central Park had more than an inch of snow on the ground was February 13, 2022.
