NEW YORK, NY — Previously sealed court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein are now public domain uncovering details of a lawsuit connected to Epstein. The judge in the case ordered the records to be released because a good portion of the information is already public. The first 40 documents, of an expected 250 ordered unsealed, were released on Wednesday.
The documents being unsealed are related to a lawsuit filed in 2015 by one of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Giuffre. She is one of the dozens of women who sued Epstein saying he had abused them at his homes in Florida, New York, the U.S. Virgin Islands and New Mexico. The suit was against Epstein’s former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of helping recruit his victims.
She was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
