(New York, NY) — NYPD cops are searching for the gunman who shot and killed a 15-year-old outside a New York City Housing Authority complex in Brooklyn last night. The bullets flew around 9 p.m. at the Bay View Houses in Canarsie. The teenager, who took a bullet to the stomach was rushed to the hospital where he died. Police have no motive for the gunfire and have made no arrests.
The shooting is the second homicide in New York City in 2024. The murder comes just hours after the NYPD released 2023 crime statistics that showed murders were down again There were 386 homicides in 2023, a 12 percent decrease from 2022.
