Now What? Some Scientists Say This About Champagne

syndication-the-oklahoman-25

Scientists are sounding the alarm over champagne -- as tied to climate change.

(San Francisco, CA) – Well they used to call it global warming, now it’s referred to as climate change. And scientists out of California’s Silicon Valley are saying a beloved beverage associated with New Year’s Eve celebrations could be at risk — due to climate change. This is coming from a startup known as ClimateAi, which argues the grapes used in almost all forms of champagne are at risk of going extinct.

The same scientists say hundreds of species of grapes are at risk. They claim this is the result of human-caused climate change — and altered weather patterns — including in northern France, which is where the famed Champagne region is located.
