Mayor Adams
(New York, NY) — Mayor Adams is making another trip to D.C. today to beg for more cash to help pay for the migrant mess here in the city. Adams will not meet with the President, but he is scheduled to meet with congressional leaders and federal officials and attend the White House Holiday Party.
The trip comes as Mayor Adams is getting the lowest approval rating for a New York City Mayor since Quinnipiac started polling voters in 1996. Just 28-percent of voters approve of the job Adams is doing, that’s down from 37-percent in February. New Yorkers’ top concerns are affordable housing and crime, followed by immigration, homelessness, and inflation. More than 83-percent of voters are concerned over citywide budget cuts and another 85-percent are worried the city will not be able to accommodate the surge of migrants.
