NY: Mayor Adams Calls For Mayoral Accountability In State Budget
(New York, NY) — Mayor Adams says he loves travel as he explains the amount of times he’s been to Turkey. His trips to Turkey have come into question since the FBI started looking into his campaign finances, favors and possible influence by the Turkish government. The mayor says he is hiring someone to set up a legal defense fund because New Yorkers have reached out to his team wanting to help. He anticipates legal fees could be up to one million dollars, adding he wants to ensure he complies with all the rules. While Mayor Adams continues to talk about the fundraising probe, his legal team remains tight lipped about the FBI investigation.
