UNDATED -A former staffer for Long Island Congressman George Santos has pleaded guilty to wire fraud.
27 year old Sam Miele making the plea Tuesday in court in connection with impersonating an aide to then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
Prosecutors accuse Miele of misrepresenting himself as a high-ranking congressional aide to McCarthy in deceiving donors to the Santos campaign.
Miele is scheduled to be sentenced in April.
In October, Nancy Marks, a former Campaign treasurer for Santos pleaded guilty to charges which included wire fraud.
She could face up to five years in prison.
