NEW YORK, NY—-The FBI seized Mayor Eric Adams’ electronics including his phone and ipad early this week, as part of a federal corruption investigation tied to his 2021 campaign
The FBI seized the devices in connection to an investigation into whether Adams’ campaign cooperated with the Turkish government in directing money into his mayoral campaign. The electronics were returned to the mayor.
Mayor Adams reportedly confirming the FBI took his phone at an event on Monday evening—and says he’s fully cooperating and has nothing to hide.
Campaign attorney Boyd Johnson says “the mayor has not been accused of any wrongdoing and continues to cooperate with the investigation.”
This all coming days after the FBI searched the Brooklyn home of Brianna Suggs , Adams’ Chief campaign fundraiser.
