NEW YORK, NY-Pro-Palestinian supporters shutting down parts of Midtown Manhattan Thursday. Nearly two-thousand protesters took to the streets to call for an end to the war in the Middle East. Israel will allow daily four-hour pauses in the fighting against Hamas in Gaza–but protestors say it doesn’t solve the problem.
The Department of Education said over 700 students walked out of classrooms, many joining the demonstration.
Meantime a group of protestors gathered inside the lobby of the New York Times building. Protestors have been reading the names of Gazans killed by Israel soldiers.
