(Washington, D.C.) — Louisiana Congressman Mike Johnson is the latest Republican nominee for Speaker of the House. On Tuesday night, Johnson became the fourth Republican to be nominated for the position since Kevin McCarthy was ousted earlier this month. Johnson still needs 217 of the 221 Republican votes to become Speaker. A floor vote is expected some time Wednesday afternoon.
