(Brooklyn, NY) – A suspect has been arrested and charged with murder in the stabbing death of 32-year-old Ryan Carson — who was fatally knifed early Monday morning while waiting for a bus with his girlfriend. The couple had just left a wedding and were approached by a man who eventually stabbed Carson, leading to his death. Now, 18-year-old Brian Dowling has been officially accused of homicide.
Cops were serving a search warrant at his apartment when Dowling came home, and was taken into custody. Reports say a dark-colored hoodie that’s similar to the one Carson’s attacker was seen wearing on surveillance video was recovered from the apartment, as was a knife that may or may not be the murder weapon. Tests were pending on the knife as of mid-day. Dowling is reportedly enrolled in a work-to-learn program. Police say Monday’s attack was unprovoked.
