New York, NY – President Biden is announcing that he will grant Temporary Protected Status to Venezuelan asylum seekers and migrants. This will only apply to Venezuelans who arrived in the US before July 2023. This means they will not have to wait 6 months before becoming eligible to work.
New York City is now housing more than 60-thousand migrants. Biden reportedly will expedite work authorizations for all migrants, reducing the waiting time to 1 month.
