(New York, NY) — Governor Kathy Hochul says she is considering granting migrants working papers that would allow them to apply for jobs across New York state. She is making the move as the federal goverment has been slow to grant the work permits for migrants. Governor Hochul says the move would be an unprecedented one by a state government, but she says it’s time to let the migrants make their own lives here.
