NYPD arrest
(Brooklyn, NY) – A 43-year-old woman is dead, and her two children are in critical condition — following a horrific hammer attack in Brooklyn. The man accused in the violent incident, Liyong Ye, is under arrest and undergoing a mental health evaluation. According to NYPD, it happened Wednesday afternoon inside a Sunset Park apartment building.
NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell says the apartment unit has three small rooms. The suspect lived in one of the rooms, and the woman and her kids occupied a room as well.
