(Washington, DC) – According to an updated indictment, former President Trump faces new charges in the classified documents case. A third defendant has been added to the case as well. Special Counsel Jack Smith alleges that maintenance worker Carlos De Oliveira helped move boxes that contained classified documents. Also, he was allegedly asked to delete security camera footage at Trump’s South Florida home.

So Trump and two aides have been charged with attempting to delete surveillance camera footage. The former president is also accused of improperly handling classified information.

Meanwhile, Trump maintains he acted properly with regard to classified information and that he had the right to maintain it as a former president.
