(New York, NY) – Fancy yourself a Broadway fan? Got $7 million to spare? Then you might want to call and ask for a showing at the late Steven Sondheim’s Manhattan townhouse. It’s listed on the market, and features five stories, seven bedrooms, and much more.
Sondheim called it the house that “Gypsy” built, after the musical starring Ethel Merman was a smash hit in 1959. It’s located on East 49th Street and is one of 20 homes built in the 1860s, comprising the Turtle Bay Gardens.
In addition to garden access, the 19-foot wide townhouse features a chef’s kitchen, music studio, solarium, a wood burning fireplace, and a baby grand piano.
