(New York, NY) – According to a new poll, the majority of student loan borrowers aren’t ready for the restart of student loan payments. They’re set to pick back up in October after being put on pause during the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey from Intelligent.com also shows more than one-third of all student loan borrowers already spent money they thought would be forgiven.

The Supreme Court recently struck down President Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan, arguing he didn’t get approval from Congress. The plan would have forgiven up to $20,000 in debt for Pell grant recipients, and up to $10,000 for other borrowers.
