(New York, NY) — Just 44,000 New Yorkers took advantage of the nine days of early voting ahead of the Tuesday primary. The Board of Elections reports that Queens had the highest number of early votes with just over 14,000 ballots cast there, followed by Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx. Staten Island had no elections. On Tuesday, voters will have a chance to pick party candidates for City Council seats, and the district attorneys for Queens and the Bronx. Polls open at 6 a.m. Tuesday and close at 9 p.m.
