(Newark, NJ) — New Jersey Senator Cory Booker wants to create a commission to study slavery reparations for African Americans across U.S. Booker says the commission would study the impact of slavery and the discrimination African Americans are facing today. It will also hold public hearings and consider the possibility of payments to descendants of slaves.
