(New York, NY) — It was a violent weekend in the city. Three women were slashed in two separate attacks in the subways Sunday afternoon. The first random attack took place at the 86th and Lexington Avenue station around 4:30 p.m.  Two women were slashed in the leg. The victims say they never saw the attack coming. About 19 minutes after the first slashing,  another woman was knifed in the leg at the Brooklyn Bridge station. The women were all treated at area hospitals. Police believe the same person likely carried out all three stabbings. He is on the loose.
